Kaspersky Antivirus Review

Kaspersky Antivirus offers a powerful malware-protection tool that comes with an impressive set of features. The exact number of features available depends on the pricing plan you choose, which can range from basic malware and virus protection to a comprehensive security suite.

The user interface for Kaspersky is simple and visually appealing, with most functions displayed as a few tiles on the main screen. From here, you can start quick or full scans and check the results in a clear and concise way. You can also determine the status of your device (e.g. an orange tick means that you’re protected) and get suggestions for next steps.

The most effective features of Kaspersky include a data leak detection system that monitors the dark web for personal data that are available for sale (e.g., email addresses credit card numbers, email addresses and social security numbers) and a weak settings scanner that looks for settings that make your device vulnerable to attacks. Other security tools include an onscreen keyboard that stops keyloggers from tracking your physical movements to reveal your login details, as well as the rescue disk for disinfecting the computer that is most vulnerable to attack. A free VPN is included with Kaspersky Internet Security subscriptions, though it’s limited to 300 MB per day.

While the software does a decent job of protecting your device but some users are concerned about the privacy practices of Kaspersky Lab. The company is owned and operated by the Russian security firm Eugene Kaspersky. It has been accused of collaborating with the government during the war in Ukraine. Although the company denies these allegations but the controversy has hurt its reputation. Kaspersky’s Global Transparency Initiative was launched to regain trust and prove its commitment to privacy and freedom.
